A Strategic Dance July 2008 |

My paintings began to change over the course of the school. Two or three weeks after I first arrived in Redding, I painted A Strategic Dance. It is one of my favorite paintings - yet it is so different from anything I have ever painted (and felt good about!) before. I took it over to some friends' house for interpretation, and from their interpretations pieced my own together. The green represents the peace that comes from being with God. The black and white checkers are the dance floor which you meet Him on to spend more intimate time with Him. But it is not only a dance floor; it doubles as a chess board of strategy. Getting to know God better is strategic and it will bring thriving life in your life and in the lives of others, taking away the seeing in black and white; replacing it with seeing in color. |
