Pieces of Your Heart

Pieces of Your Heart

My heart leaps
to worship again
I will never tire
of coming into You

Beholding Your heart in full
would rend me blind-
And yet You do not show
flitting glimpses
But You envelope me
in pieces of Your heart
Pieces bigger
than a galaxy's soundwaves
pulsating through the univers

Complete pieces
Not just sustaining me
but overflowing me
drowning me
in the warmth of Your presence

If this is a piece of Your heart
it will take an eternity
to discover the deepest fold.

Pieces of Your heart was drawn during my time in Redding. The poem describes what one of my experiences with God was like, and the picture somehow connects to it - perhaps on a more spiritual level than what our eyes can see, because there is nothing in the picture about soundwaves or galaxies!
